POTSDAM — A Norfolk man has died of injuries he suffered when he was struck by a train on a Potsdam trestle Saturday morning.

The Potsdam Police Department said it was notified at 8:48 a.m. that a CSX freight train struck a man with a bicycle on the trestle over the Raquette River parallel to Sandstone Drive. The man, later identified as 41-year-old Jonathan E. Black, was found in the river and pulled to shore where lifesaving measures were taken by the police department, the Potsdam Fire Department and Rescue Squad.
